Covers designed for a new book by Pottermore
Pottermore were launching a new collection of writings around the wizarding world. The books are targeted at existing fans interested in a deeper dive under the covers.
A set of three covers were needed to represent different splits and formats of the book – two covers for eBooks Volumes 1 and 2, and one cover for the combined audiobook edition.
The portal concept houses various objects featured in the books, with small Easter eggs for interested fans to delve into. As a graphic device, the portal holds the set together.
The cover was designed with marketing in mind. The portal, objects and typography make up an easy to use design system to create assets that promote the covers.
The brand style easily flexes across multiple formats such as social posts and stories, web banners and promotional films.
