Common questions

Can you just design a logo?

Of course! Not every project needs a full brand identity system – sometimes you just need a great logo. That said, I’ll still want to understand your business, audience and goals before designing anything. Even a standalone logo works better when there’s some context behind it. We’ll have a strategic conversation upfront, but I can keep the scope focused on exactly what you need right now.

Do you only do brand identities, or can you help with other design work?

I do all sorts of design work for brands – from full visual identities to one-off projects like brochures, book covers, campaigns, presentations, signage and marketing materials. If it’s design work that represents your brand, I’m happy to help.

Can you help us apply the brand after it’s designed?

Definitely. I’m happy to support you in rolling out your new brand across digital, print, internal comms or whatever touchpoints you need. Whether that’s designing templates, guidelines, or working directly with your team to implement it, I can stay involved beyond the initial design phase if that’s useful.

What if we already have a brand but need a refresh?

That’s really common. Sometimes a brand just needs refining rather than starting from scratch. I can audit what you have, identify what’s working (and what isn’t), and evolve your identity in a way that feels fresh but familiar. It’s often more efficient and cost-effective than a full rebrand.

Do you create brand guidelines?

Yes. Depending on the project, I can create anything from a simple one-page style guide to a comprehensive brand manual covering logo usage, typography, colour, tone of voice, image style and application examples. The level of detail really depends on what your team needs to work with.

Can you help with motion or animation for the brand?

Motion design is one of my core skills, so yes – I’d be happy to create logo animations, brand films, animated assets or motion systems that bring your brand to life across digital channels.

What’s your process for branding projects?

I start by understanding your brand, audience and objectives through conversation and research. Then I explore creative directions, refining the strongest approach into final designs. Throughout, I’ll involve you at key stages so there are no surprises – just clear, collaborative progress toward work that achieves what you need.
